Your tastings over a month or a season

Tasting or Pro

Guests, what sold, what they liked and whether your list is growing, across every tasting in the last 30, 90 or 365 days.

The readout answers "did Friday work?" This page answers "is the program working?" Open it from the portal with Your last 30 days, from a readout with See this against your last 90 days, or from the email Bin12 sends on the first of each month.

Pick the window at the top: 30 days, 90 days or 365 days. Tastings run and guests are compared with the window of the same length just before it, as in "up from 28". If that earlier window had no tastings, there is nothing to compare, so no comparison is shown.

What is on the page

How the tastings are goingWhat it tells youTastings run, guests, guests per tasting, how many would come back, and how many had been to a tasting here before. One row per tasting, each linking to its readout
What soldWhat it tells youYour wines ranked by bottles marked Sold, with how often each was poured, how many guests wanted one, how many sold and the dollars
Which price sellsWhat it tells youBottles wanted and sold by bottle price: under $20, $20–35, $35–60 and over $60
What they likedWhat it tells youFavorite votes first, then the highest averages (two or more scores), then the wine that split the room
Is the list growingWhat it tells youNew contacts, new followers and emails left, and one row for each announce email: how many it went to, the RSVPs after it and the guests who came
Next timeWhat it tells youThe votes for what to pour next, added up across every tasting that asked
Across your storesWhat it tells youOnly if you run more than one store: a row for each. See More than one store

What each number counts

Tastings runWhat it countsYour own tastings that began in the window and were opened or closed. A listing Bin12 typed in for you is never counted
GuestsWhat it countsEveryone who joined at the table, whether or not they rated
Would come backWhat it countsGuests who answered "Would you come back?" with yes, out of everyone who answered. Guests who chose not to share their ratings aren't counted
Returning guestsWhat it countsA guest who left an email at, saved a spot at, or rated at an earlier tasting of yours
WantedWhat it countsBottles guests said they'd take home
Sold from the roomWhat it countsBottles you marked Sold, and what they came to at the price on the lineup
Average bottleWhat it countsDollars sold from the room divided by the bottles sold with a price
Per guestWhat it countsBottles sold divided by guests
Price bandsWhat it countsBottles wanted and sold, grouped by the bottle price on the lineup. A bottle at exactly $20 is in $20–35
ContactsWhat it countsGuests who left an email and chose to share it with you
FollowersWhat it countsPeople who started following your shop in the window
Emails leftWhat it countsGuests who left an email, shared with you or not. You never see the ones who didn't share
Announce emailsWhat it countsEach announce email sent in the window, how many it went to, the RSVPs after it and the guests on the day

Sold is your staff's tap, a record for the shop, not a register. A bottle with no price counts in bottles and is left out of the dollars, and the page says how many.

The first of the month

On the first of each month, the owners of a shop on Tasting or Pro get an email called "Your October at your shop" if the shop had guests at a tasting that month. It has four numbers against the month before (tastings, guests, would come back and the dollars sold from the room), the wine that sold most and one line on your list. Press Open the report for the page. Owners only, not every seat; a month with no guests sends nothing.

The report comes with the Tasting and Pro plans. On Free the page shows tastings run and guests, and the plan card.
